The current president of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari belongs to “Ehl-e-Tasheih” religious sector of Nawab Shah. He got his primary education of Matriculation from Cadet College Pitawar and this is the only education he has got in his entire life. After the 17th amendment of the constitution, like many other politicians, he also claimed to be a graduate from London College. It was discovered afterwards that there is no existence of such college on the earth. He was well known with the title of “Mr. Ten Percent” which is now promoted as “Mr. Cent Per Cent”.

Zardari and Corruption in Pakistan

Support of Benazir to Zardari:

He was married with Benazir Bhutto on 18 December, 1987. He had no political background before this marriage. It is said that there was a significant share of Asif Ali Zardari in every government project during the reign of Benazir Bhutto. He was alleged for such kind of things. One of the most famous cases on our President is the investigation of Swiss money laundering case. He was also jailed on the allegation of the assassination of Murtaza Bhutto and it is also said that the main reason for his success in the previous elections was the murder of Benazir Bhutto.

Support of NRO to Zardari:

Zardari took oath as president of Pakistan in 2008 and it is a strong presidency because the role of the Prime Minister just seems to be restricted in every matter. The NRO Ordinance that was declared in the reign of Pervaiz Musharruf has secured many politicians and bureaucrats from the punishment of several cases. More than 8000 people were benefited from this ordinance and Asif Ali Zardari is no exception to this figure. The allegations on Rehman Malik were also scrutinize and declared as null and void due to the orders of Asif Ali Zardari.

How He is avoiding the Major Issues:

Pakistan Army is also annoyed due to the severe corruption in the country. The army officials want the corruption free civil government and system. But the current government is using different tactics to avoid the punishment for their corruptions. Often, the president is busy in some activity and many excuses are made like floods to avoid the hearing of their lots of pending cases in courts. One can have the idea of their engagement in the refining activities of flood affected areas from severe conditions of those areas.

The Stance of Supreme Court:

Whenever there is any rumor of reopening the NRO cases, the president says that conspiracies are made to restrict the government from completing their official period. Sometimes, Zardari also states that he has no fear of the jail and its difficulties. However, the current war between the Supreme Court and Zardari will lead to some final results. One of the most famous cases is the NICL case which also involves the Prime Minister and his son.

The Current Situation:

It is true that corruption is not new to Pakistan. It is suffering from this disease right from its beginning. Instead, it has become a fashion now. Each allegation of corruption is associated with President and Prime Minister. But this is a fact that before the governance of PPP, Pakistan was on the 46th number of the corrupt countries of the world and now it is promoted to the 42nd position. These figures are issued from the Transparency International. On the other hand, the nation is not ready to believe any of the government officials. The corruption has been going on at every level whether it relates to higher ranks or lower. The nation is insecure from any point of view. Their protective departments have become terrorists for them. The wrong use of power from the government employees has deprived the nation from their actual rights. No system is working properly like the tax department is only working for the benefits of government.

Future of Zardari and PPP:

When we talk about the future of Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan People Party, its a matter of choice for public that whether they are going to elect them or not. If the nation decides wisely, there seems to be no future of PPP and Asif Ali Zardari in the next government.
